Jules Binachi’s father Philippe has raised a plea on social media after thieves stole karts belonging to the family, including Jules’ last kart.
He wrote: “Dear friends, I am addressing tonight to my karting family. Tonight we were robbed and the thieves without scruples were low-handed on 9 chassis JB17 forever, much more serious, they stole the last karting of Jules, a KZ 125 model ART GP plus the mini karts of my grandsons. Except the value of the machines, it is the sentimental value that hurts us. Thank you if you see JB17 karts in circulation to notify me. Thank you in advance.”
It is unclear how and from where exactly the karts were stolen, but Philippe highlights the sentimental value it carries to them. The Monegasque died after a horrific accident in Japanese GP, battling injuries for nearly a year, before succumbing to it.
