Former 250cc and World SBK champion Max Biaggi has suffered a crash while training for International Supermoto, near Rome; that has caused him several injuries on head and ribs. His life is, however, not in danger.
The fourty-five-year old rider was taken by helicopter form the Circuito Internazionale di Latina to a hospital with multiple injuries, including a broken shoulder. After the accident, however, he was conscious and it was declared that his life was not threatened.
The rider, who retired from full-time racing in 2012, was training with a Supermoto bike, which he now rides frequently in Latina and Monaco, in order to prepare por the International Supermoto held this Sunday.
His career was now mainly focused in leading his own team, in collaboration with Mahindra, for the Italian Motorbike Championship (CIV) and some races in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship.
