Enea Bastianini is to make his MotoGP return in Italian GP, but it depends on passing the medical inspection on Thursday.
Ducati Lenovo Team have confirmed that Enea Bastianini will be back in action this weekend at the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, subject to him passing a medical check on Thursday at the circuit.
The Italian’s only appearance since his Round 1 crash in Portimao was on Friday at the Spanish GP, but Bastianini was forced to withdraw from Jerez because of ongoing pain in his shoulder. Now though, after a three weekend break and a positive test run on a Ducati Panigale V4 S at Mugello since our last outing at the French GP, ‘The Beast’ is set to return to action.
Enea Bastianini: “I really like the Mugello circuit. In the past I have achieved great results, so the goal is to be able to do it also this year. Surely after so many weeks off it won’t be easy. I rode here a week ago with the Panigale V4 S and I felt good but obviously with the Desmosedici GP it will be another thing. In any case, I’m motivated. It’s our home race and I’m aiming to do well.”
