With the two F1 2019 Barcelona tests, here’s a look at how the second test went for different teams and drivers along with the overall data.
Like the first test, experienced F1 writer and marketeer Omar Alvarez has prepared an infograph to depict the laps covered by each team along with the kilometers done and the best time set by their driver which includes the compound they set it on too.
Without repeating those information, here’s the chart prepared for FormulaRapida.net:
The second depicted a bit more of the 2019 representation at the top at the least but the actual order cannot be ascertain until the season actually starts. Ferrari channeled towards setting quick times with Mercedes getting their in towards the end.
Both Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc looked good respectively but Ferrari’s reliability could spring up some doubts in the Italian manufacturers’ mind. Even Mercedes had some troubles but were largely reliable otherwise.
Vettel’s time on the final day ended up as the quickest with Lewis Hamilton only 0.003s apart. Their respective teammates were also in the mix while mileage wise, Williams picked up pace after the disaster in the first test due to late preparedness.
At the same time, Red Bull Racing faced some difficulties due to Pierre Gasly’s crash while Racing Point’s low mileage count continued with pinned hopes on Melbourne upgrade. Before we get to the lap count, here’s the second best times of each team:
Charles Leclerc (Ferrari): 1m16.231s (Day 3) – C5
