Yesterday results allowed Kevin Korjus to start from Pole whilst Aaro Vainio started from the second row of the grid.

Few rain drops felt on the Paddock around 8:00 causing some discussions about the weather forecast. However the sky cleared up and sun came out so off for a dry Race 2.

Straight from green light, Aaro Vainio took a fantastic start, surprising Kevin Korjus and taking the lead from the first corner. His teammate had not got a chance to keep his pole position and stayed behind the Finnish driver for the 17 laps of the race. Patrick Kujala finished P18 after starting P25, good pace and good improvement for the young rookie who still has a lot to learn.

Despite Kevin Korjus signed the best lap in 1:37.669, he could not catch up Aaro Vainio. The race ended as a one–‐two victory for KoiranenGP with the two boys leading the race with an advantage of 5 seconds with their first challenger.

Huge relieve for the team and drivers which have been working twice more than the other teams this winter to reach their car and tyres’ knowledge.

An icing on the cake, thanks to Aaro Vainio and Kevin Korjus being both in points in Race 1, KoiranenGP is now leading the Teams’ championship.

Next stop in Hungaroring for 2 days testing on 5–‐6 June, before heading to the Round 2 in Valencia on 15–‐16 June!
