Bagnaia says small fracture won’t prevent Italian GP participation

Francesco Bagnaia reveals of fracture post MotoGP French GP after his crash, as he hopes to be ready for the Italian GP.

Following his incident with Aprilia’s Maverick Vinaled in MotoGP French GP at Le Mans, Ducati’s Bagnaia had pain on his right ankle. Upon checking with the doctors, it was revealed that he has partial talus bone fracture but it is not enough to prevent from taking part in the Italian MotoGP weekend at Mugello.

Bagnaia: “When I returned from Le Mans, I kept feeling pain in my right ankle. I decided to undergo further medical check at the Misano medical centre, which found a partial talus bone fracture. This will not prevent my participation in the next Italian Grand Prix.”

Ducati: “As Francesco Bagnaia was still feeling some pain in his right ankle, after last Sunday’s crash in France, he underwent further checks in Misano, which found a small partial talus bone fracture. This minor injury will not prevent his participation in the next Italian GP.”
