The Racing Bulls driver, Arvid Lindblad, has shared his reflections on the start of his career in Formula 1, describing his first season as a genuine “dream” after an impressive first half of 2026.
At the age of 19, Lindblad started the year strong, managing to reach Q3 at the Australian Grand Prix and finishing in a notable eighth position. Since then, he has added seven more Q3 appearances and has maintained a streak of six consecutive points-scoring races between Monaco and Hungary.
Looking back during the summer break, the young driver expressed how the experience has exceeded his expectations. “Undoubtedly, ‘and more’,” Lindblad stated when asked if the season had been everything he imagined. “I have lived magnificent moments in such a short period of time. The team has been incredible, very welcoming, and has helped me find my rhythm very quickly.”
One of the highlights of his debut was in Melbourne, where he felt a special excitement before the race. “By the way, Melbourne has been the most special moment, simply because it was the first Grand Prix and the way the weekend unfolded. I felt a bit emotional before the race,” he commented.
Moreover, Lindblad highlighted experiences in new circuits like Shanghai and Suzuka, where he felt great satisfaction experiencing firsthand what he had only played in video games before. “It was much narrower in real life than in the games!”
The next significant moment for him was at Silverstone, a circuit he has seen many times on television: “I remember being on the grid and thinking, ‘Wow, this is really happening.'”
