Arvid Lindblad confesses he is ready for his driving test ahead of F1 in Belgium

Arvid Lindblad, driver for the Racing Bulls team, shares his excitement for his driving test just days before his participation in the Belgian Grand Prix. At only 18 years old, the Brit joined the Formula 1 team in 2026, although he has yet to obtain his driving license.

In a recent interview with _beIN Sports_, Lindblad reported that, after his first class, he feels ready to take the test. According to him, he just needs to remember to watch for blind spots.

“I don’t think I need more classes,” he stated. “I can go take the test right now,” he added confidently.

His instructor acknowledged his driving skills, emphasizing only the importance of paying attention to blind spots. “He just told me to keep checking the blind spots, and as far as the rest goes, I’m fine,” Lindblad explained.

However, the young driver admitted that the experience of driving a road vehicle is surprisingly different from the speed he is used to. “It was weird to think about speed limits,” he remarked with a smile. “Sometimes, 30 km/h feels painfully slow. But safety comes first,” he concluded.

In addition to his personal journey, Lindblad has had a promising start to his debut season in F1, currently sitting 11th in the drivers’ championship with 20 points, just 19 behind his teammate Liam Lawson. His best result has been an eighth-place finish at the Australian Grand Prix.

With focus on the upcoming race at Spa-Francorchamps, expectations are high for the young prospect as the driving test takes a back seat to his professional career.
