Fabiano Sterlacchini will start his Technical Director role at Aprilia in November, as Romano Albesiano leaves the stable to move to Honda.

Aprilia Racing is proud to announce that Fabiano Sterlacchini will assume the role of Technical Director starting from Monday 18th November 2024. Fabiano’s arrival is another important step in further strengthening of the MotoGP project, following the signing of two young and talented riders, Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi. Aprilia Racing wish to thank Romano Albesiano for his 11 years as Technical Director of the Team, as well as for his 20 years within the Piaggio Group.
Honda –
Honda Racing Corporation are pleased to announce the signing of Romano Albesiano as Technical Director. From the start of 2025, Albesiano will oversee HRC’s MotoGP project and the continued development of the Honda RC213V machine as Technical Director. The Italian joins HRC with three decades of motorcycle and racing development experience, having most recently spent 11 years as part of Aprilia’s MotoGP project.
