Frenchman Anthoine Hubert completes ART Grand Prix’s line up in GP3 Series for the 2017 campaign.

Yet overshadowed by Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, Anthoine Hubert has known a rather successful career. In 2013, he dominated the French F4 championship for his first year in single-seaters. He then moved up to Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup of which he finished fifth in 2015.

In 2016, he made the late move to Van Amersfoort Racing in FIA F3. He finished the championship eighth overall thanks to one victory in Norisring, and he finished third in the rookie championship. He comments on his GP3 move:

“I am really happy to join GP3 Series with ART Grand Prix! This is an excellent career opportunity because it is the most titled team of the championship. My ambition is to work on my integration into the team this winter in order to get the best out of the package and to be ready to take up the GP3 challenge in the first races of the year as well as fighting with the front-runners.”

Sébastien Philippe, ART GP’s team manager, adds:

“ART Grand Prix is proud to have one of the best young French drivers among its ranks. We have followed Anthoine’s career development for several years now and we have noticed his intelligent approach to racing, which will be an important asset for a championship as hotly contested as GP3.”

Hubert completes ART GP’s GP3 line up alongside Jack Aitken, George Russell and Nirei Fukuzumi to defend ART GP’s team title held since 2015 with Esteban Ocon’s title, the last Frenchman in ART GP.
