Andretti Global has retained the red, white and blue livery for 2025 FIA Formula E Championship season, as the new car is launched.
Leading the Andretti stable of race teams in kicking off their upcoming seasons, Andretti Formula E launched its Season 11 campaign today in the highly anticipated GEN3 Evo era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. With a design that will continue to pay homage to the Indianapolis-based squad’s American roots, Andretti Formula E’s pair of Porsche 99X Electrics driven by World Champion Jake Dennis and recently confirmed newcomer Nico Mueller, will once again carry the iconic red, white and blue livery that has defined the all-electric team since the organization’s rebrand ahead of Season 10.
Also proudly featured on the patriotic paint scheme, Andretti Formula E welcomes back partners Guggenheim Partners, Prysmian Group, NAGASE Group and Crowe UK for Season 11. With a new driver lineup, a cutting-edge car and a worldwide calendar, there is plenty of excitement on the horizon for the Andretti Formula E team as they look to build on their successful legacy in the series.
A Look Back at Season 10: Successes and Lessons Learned
Season 10 was a year of highs and lows for Andretti Formula E, but one that highlighted the team’s resilience and ability to compete at the top. The first highlight of the year came in Round 2 in Diriyah, with a spectacular victory for Jake Dennis around the historic town walls of the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage site. The Season 9 World Champion secured a dominant win in Friday evening’s E-Prix by a staggering 13-second margin – the second largest in Formula E history. Throughout the season, Dennis continued to showcase his skill and determination, with standout performances including a podium finish at the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix and a pair of runner-up finishes at the Misano E-Prix doubleheader weekend.
Andretti Formula E continued to make headlines later in the season at the Berlin E-Prix with an impressive overnight recovery resulting in the team’s first pole position of Season 10 after qualifying on the back row in the first race of the doubleheader weekend. As Formula E returned to racing in China for two races in Shanghai, it was Nato in the No. 17 car who stepped into the spotlight, securing his first podium for the team in Round 12, making him the first Andretti driver, other than Dennis, to finish in the top three since Max Günther in Season 7 (2021 New York E-Prix).
Over the course of Season 10, Andretti Formula E’s duo produced one victory, one pole position, five podiums, five fastest laps and led 47 laps. Despite finishing fifth in the Team’s Championship, the American outfit wrapped up the year as the highest-ranked customer team and played a crucial role in Porsche’s pursuit of the Manufacturers’ Trophy, contributing vital points to their second-place finish.
Beyond the team’s on-track success, Andretti Formula E was also recognized for efforts away from the track, winning Formula E’s Community Champion Award for its innovative race poster campaign. The initiative resonated with fans and showcased the team’s commitment to engaging with the community while contributing to the broader culture of the sport.
New Face: Signing Nico Mueller
In a strategic move heading into Season 11, Andretti Formula E announced the addition of Formula E veteran Nico Mueller to the team’s lineup. The newly named Porsche works driver joins the team after Andretti Formula E confirmed an extension of its partnership with Porsche Motorsport ensuring the use of the Porsche 99X Electric through Season 12. Mueller finished Season 10 strong with four consecutive top-six finishes in a car that often struggled for performance.
The 32-year-old’s experience in Formula E and other high-profile motorsport categories, such as DTM and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, will be invaluable as Andretti looks to challenge for wins, podiums and ultimately another Championship title. “I’m very excited to join the Andretti Formula E team,” said Mueller. “It’s a team that has seen success from the very beginning of the Championship, particularly in the GEN3 era with their partnership with Porsche. To work with Jake, a World Champion, is an honor, and I’m going to give it my very best to contribute to the team’s success.”
Looking Ahead: Formula E’s Season 11 Calendar
Formula E’s Season 11 is shaping up to be the most thrilling yet, with the series retaining a 16-race calendar across 10 iconic locations. Kicking off in early December following preseason testing in Valencia, São Paulo’s electrifying street circuit will play host to Formula E’s opener while Miami will return as the American stop on the Formula E calendar for the first time since Season 1. Saudi Arabia will host the season’s first doubleheader in Jeddah, marking a new era for Formula E in the Middle East, followed by another doubleheader race weekend in Monaco – a first for the Principality in any motorsport discipline.
Jakarta will return to the calendar after a one-year hiatus, and once again the season will culminate with a doubleheader at ExCeL London where the Championship battle will likely be decided on the technical indoor-outdoor circuit. Andretti Formula E has a rich history in many of these locations having scored Championship points in 32 different cities across the world – the most of any team.
Preseason Testing and the Introduction of the GEN3 Evo
Before the Season 11 racing begins, all eyes will be on Formula E’s four-day preseason test at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo as teams have their first opportunity to test the new GEN3 Evo car in a competitive environment. The latest iteration of the Formula E car is expected to be a game changer, with blistering acceleration capable of going from 0-60 mph in just 1.82 seconds, making it 36 percent faster than the previous GEN3 spec.
All-Women’s Test: A Historic First for Formula E
Earlier this offseason, Formula E announced the Series’ inaugural All-Women’s Test aimed at providing women drivers the opportunity to test Formula E machinery. Andretti Formula E will be represented by Chloe Chambers and Nerea Martí, both of whom will get behind the wheel of the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric during the final session of the Valencia test. The All-Women’s Test marks a significant step in Formula E’s commitment to increasing diversity and opportunities for women in motorsport, aligning with Andretti’s own values of inclusivity and innovation.
Season 11 – A New Chapter for Andretti Formula E
As one of the founding members and the first American team to join the all-electric series, Andretti is set to embark on its 11th Formula E season. With a rich legacy that has seen the Indianapolis-based squad play a competitive role since 2014, the team enters the GEN3 Evo era with a record of resilience and success. Andretti Formula E driver duo Dennis and Mueller will be back on track November 4-7 for preseason testing as the team will join the rest of the Formula E field in their first competitive run with the new GEN3 Evo. After testing, all attention turns to the season opener in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 7 where Andretti will aim to build on an established history of success in their fight for wins and Championship titles.
