Andrea Reggiani has been appointed as the new head of motorsport at Lamborghini, replacing Maurizio Leschiutta, who left the Volkswagen brand at the end of last December after a brief tenure in the position.
Reggiani, a Swiss-Italian engineer with an extensive background, has joined Lamborghini following his experiences at Ferrari and Dallara. His career at Ferrari began in 2008, where he initially served as the marketing manager for Asia and China, before moving up to head of Corse Clienti in that region.
He then took on the leadership of the program that allows clients to drive Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars and classic vehicles. He also managed Ferrari’s motorsport in North America, overseeing series like the Ferrari Challenge.
After his time at Ferrari, Reggiani joined Dallara, where he led the Stradale project, the first vehicle marketed by the company. In his new role at Lamborghini, he will take charge of the new **Temerario GT3** program and the development of its **Super Trofeo** prototype, scheduled for 2027.
Reggiani’s appointment comes at a time of significant changes within Lamborghini. In addition to Leschiutta’s departure, the head of competition development, Stefan Gugger, is also leaving the company at the end of April. The Italian company has experienced several departures from its motorsport structure in recent years, including the separation of key figures such as Leonardo Galante and Giorgio Sanna.
Reggiani has expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and stated that he looks forward to contributing to Lamborghini’s legacy with meaningful innovations in competition.
