Alpine notes about starting work on its 2026 car in the windtunnel as per the FIA regulation to kick-start in January, as they announce deal with Castore as well.

With only a year remaining for the 2026 F1 season to go live, according to the FIA ruling – which stated that the windtunnel work can start on January 1 of 2025 – the teams have started to do the same. And accordingly, Alpine is the first to share about their work on the A526 in the windtunnel.

Alpine will switch to becoming a customer team from 2026 onward when they partner with Mercedes after ditching their power unit programme. The 2025 season will be crucial for F1 teams in terms of deciding when to fully focus on the 2026 season and give up on the current one.
