The F1 fans have voted Scuderia AlphaTauri to have the best livery in the 2020 season as they win by a whooping margin over McLaren.
With all the liveries presented – even though Renault did not but are to keep the yellow and black scheme – F1 asked fans to vote for the best livery of the 2020 season. There was one clear winner of all, with AlphaTauri winning by a big margin.
The formerly Toro Rosso team got 40 percent vote where 19,476 approved their livery as the best for 2020 F1 season. The Red Bull junior outfit got a makeover this year as they re-branded itself as ‘AlphaTauri’ – the name of the company’s fashion brand.
It had a fashion-esque launch at Red Bull Hangar-7 as new colours of white and dark blue was presented to the whole world. AlphaTauri seems like was the clear winner as the next best, McLaren, only got 10 percent, with 4,869 votes.
The MCL35 was launched at McLaren Technology Center as the British F1 team retained the papaya orange and blue scheme but presented a different style. Interestingly, the third-best was Renault’s all-black testing livery, with nine percent votes.
It had 4,283 fans in its favour, which was more or less similar for Williams as they also got roughly nine percent votes. The British F1 team got a makeover as well as they went multi-coloured with blue, white and red all over the FW43.
Behind the leading pack were Mercedes, Ferrari and Alfa Romeo Racing with seven percent votes each – all the three sticking to its original base, even though the latter has slight design change and the former adding red-maroon for INEOS.
While AlphaTauri won over fans, its senior Red Bull F1 outfit got only five percent votes for keeping the same corporate colours, while Haas were the second least favoured with four percent, even though the American team got back to its original scheme.
At the bottom of the list which was decided with a total of 48,830 votes was Racing Point with just two percent in its favour. The team has kept the pink colour of BWT with less of the blue which was present in the 2019 livery for SportPesa.
