GP3 arrives at German track in the first practice of the fourth meeting of the series, the fastest driver has been Sims, in his return to the championship and his first appearance this season, followed by Argentine Lichtenstein and British Zamparelli. Drivers have been driven as possible to the circuit being Status Grand Prix team, Marussia Manor Racing and Carlin which are more consistent in this practice, Koiranen GP for its part has been the team that has driven less than its rivals.
With optimal conditions of temperature 21 º and 25 º on the track Alexander Sims has been first with a gap of 0.140s (Lichtenstein 2nd). Only eight drivers are in the same second. The times have gone down until the last moment of the session, most drivers has had his flying lap in the last minutes. Pirelli has brought this time medium compounds, the same compounds have been used in Valencia
Carlos Sainz has not driven in the final minutes of the session so he did not improve his 20th place in the timesheets. ART team with Regalia and Daly in very low positions but with their efforts center in qualifying.
