Alexander Albon was the fastest of the free-practice session of GP3 ahead of title contenders: Antonio Fuoco and Charles Leclerc.
Abu Dhabi – Santino Ferrucci was the first to head out on track in that last free-practice session of the season, the DAMS ahead of the ART. The latter set the pace in the early stages of the session alongside the Arden.
After five laps, all the ART drivers went into the pits, Nyck De Vries leading the times ahead of Charles Leclerc and Alexander Albon. Fifteen minutes into the session, Jake Dennis was on top of the timing sheet ahead of De Vries and Alex Palou.
Dennis was the first driver to go faster than two minutes per lap before being relegated second by Albon for less than a tenth. With twenty minutes to go, Jack Aitken went faster than Albon who was in the pits.
With ten minutes to go, drivers went on track for qualifying simulations. Albon went fastest ahead of Nirei Fukuzumi and Tatiana Calderon. The two Haas drivers, Leclerc and Ferrucci claimed fastest times before Albon overtook Leclerc. Antonio Fuoco, at the back in the session, went second between the two ART.
