Acura and Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) have decided to close a memorable chapter in their journey in North American sports car racing with a special commemorative livery. This livery will be showcased at the last two competitions of the 2026 season of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The livery of the Acura Meyer Shank Racing, which will be present at entry #93, will make its first appearance at the Battle on the Bricks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The design, noted for its graphic elegance, is a tribute to the engineers, mechanics, associated teams, drivers, and fans who have contributed to Acura’s success over the years.
With this commemoration, Acura concludes its current prototype program, after announcing in April that it would pause its efforts in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) category at the end of the 2026 season. This decision marks the end of a decade that has seen Acura expand through three iconic platforms, including the NSX GT3, the ARX-05 DPi, and the current ARX-06 GTP.
The ‘Thank You’ livery not only honors Acura’s history but also incorporates names of legendary drivers and associated teams, along with visual references to the tracks where they achieved significant victories. In total, Acura has collected 33 wins and 43 poles, establishing itself as one of the great manufacturers in recent IMSA history, with outstanding performances in the four most prestigious endurance races in North America.
After its debut in Indianapolis, the livery will make its last appearance at the IMSA Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, representing a unique opportunity for fans to celebrate Acura’s historical heritage before closing a memorable chapter in American motorsport.
