Gedlich Racing has revealed the 2027 Winter Series calendar, which will take place from January to March next year. This series includes the GT Winter Series, the GT4 Winter Series, and the Formula Winter Series, with a total of six dates at five circuits located in Spain and Portugal.
One of the highlights of the calendar is the 6 Hours of Portimao, scheduled for early February. This event aims to attract drivers of various experience levels, offering a wide range of competitions for both professionals and amateurs.
GT Winter Series for all levels
The GT Winter Series is an opportunity for drivers of different experience levels. In addition to the participation of ambitious amateurs and gentleman drivers, the attendance of professional drivers is also guaranteed. The main goal is to ensure intense competition on the track while preparing for the regular season.
GT4 Winter Series under SRO license
The GT4 Winter Series provides a platform for cars in the GT4 category, held under an official SRO license. This competition aims to offer a more equitable competition environment through technical checks and a balance of performance (BoP) system.
This series targets young drivers as well as Pro-Am lineups, promoting experience in the world of GT racing and preparing teams for the new season.
New edition of the Formula Winter Series
The Formula Winter Series, focused on Formula 4 drivers, will allow young talents to face international competition from the start of the year. This edition has announced a new format that will limit the number of vehicles per race.
Drivers qualify through preliminary rounds to access the masters’ race, in addition to a separate race for contenders who will seek the podium.
6 Hours of Portimao: An Independent Endurance Race
From February 4 to 6, 2027, the 6 Hours of Portimao will challenge teams during a continuous period of competition. Participants will need to coordinate factors such as speed, driving consistency, and technical reliability, as well as pit stop strategy.
This race will take place independently of the other championships of the GT and GT4 Winter Series, although the Formula Winter Series will also be present during the same weekend.
