La FIA has confirmed the 2018 Formula One World Championship entry list, revealing certain name changes for some of the teams, as well as which race number each driver will be using in the upcoming season.

Once all the drivers had been confirmed by their teams, the only thing left was seeing which race numbers each of them were going to use. The entry list that has finally been published by the FIA solves any remaining doubts on that camp.

The last two drivers to be confirmed for the 2018 season were Charles Leclerc and Sergey Sirotkin. The monegasque will be using the number 16 on his Alfa Romeo Sauber, while Sirotkin will have the number 35 on his Williams.

It is important to note certain interesting changes when it comes to naming conventions. Official names always bring about some information and in this case, the surprise comes with Toro Rosso. Their official name for the 2018 season will be Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda, which was chosen after the Japanese car maker asked to be associated with the energy drink branding rather than ‘just’ their ‘B’ squad.

Regarding the rest of the names, Red Bull will now be known as Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, much like how Alfa Romeo takes the spotlight with Sauber. Force India will be keeping their 2017 name… for now. It is expected that their new name will be revealed along with their 2018 challenger, having reached an agreement with the FIA. This double reveal will take place on the 25th of February, one day before the preseason test starts.
