The promoters of Emilia Romagna GP have provided an update on ticket refunds situation post the cancellation of the F1 2023 event.

With the cancellation of the F1 Emilia Romagna GP for 2023, the promoters have since provided an update for the fans who wish to avail refunds of their tickets. This also confirms that the race will not take place later in the year as expected.

Post the cancellation news, Sticchi Damiani said that they are unlikely to stage the race in 2023 and that they are looking to extend its current deal to 2026. The move has since been confirmed with the details shared on refunds.

The F1 fans have two options where they can either take reimbursement of their tickets or convert it for the 2024 event. But it won’t be immediate return due to the ongoing flood situation in the region. They will share an update on the same later.

“Due to the ongoing weather emergency in the Emilia-Romagna region, the event “Formula 1 Qatar Airways Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix”, scheduled from 19 to 21 May, will not be held,” said the statement from Emilia Romagna GP promoters.

“All buyers who have purchased tickets through the sales network and the ticketone.it purchasing platform are informed that the opportunity to convert the tickets purchased with tickets for the 2024 event or alternatively the economic reimbursement.

“Given the ongoing emergency in the region, the methods and timing of the refund will be announced with a subsequent communication that will be sent by e-mail in the next few days by ACI Sport, a company of the Automobile Club of Italy, through the provider official ticket office Ticketone.it.”

Post the cancellation, the F1 personnel have been allowed back in the paddock to dismantle the motorhomes and garages for them to take it to Monaco and Spain. They were asked to move out on Tuesday due to weather alert but now they are back in to clear their things.
