Tio Ellinas has been the fastest during the first practice session of Formula Renault 3.5 Series in Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Belgium. The Strakka driver improved his lap time at the end of the session, and he also has been fast during the whole session. Fantin and Vaxivière completes the top3.
Roberto Merhi made his comeback today in Formula Renault 3.5 Series championship, after not compete during the last weekend, because of he was driving for the Manor F1 Team.
The Castelló de la Plana driver drove in a session that started with a red flag caused by the championship leader and Monaco Race winner, Jazeman Jaafar (Fortec Motorsports).
The leadership of the session was between Pietro Fantin (International Draco Racing), Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports), Tio Ellinas (Strakka Racing) and Matthieu Vaxivière (Lotus).
During the latest minutes of the session the rain has started to fall, but this didn’t affect any driver because the lap times get better and better every time. This helps Tio Ellinas to reach the top of the standings at the end of the session.
