MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso will be in India later in September for an event run together by Ducati and Shell.

Following the Aragon MotoGP race in Spain, Dovizioso will fly to Delhi in India for a joint event to be held on September 29 at the Buddh International Circuit, the country’s sole F1 circuit.

The event will be jointly held by Ducati and Shell Advance’s Indian division – which is dubbed as ‘Shell Ducati Riders’ Day’ – where 25 lucky fans will get the chance to meet Dovizioso at the Buddh circuit.

Shell Advance lubricants recently launched a limited-edition promo pack and from the buyers, 25 will be chosen randomly to be part of the event, with 10 to win a trip to Malaysia for the MotoGP race at Sepang circuit.

Sergi Canovas, MD of Ducati India aid: “After the resounding success of all our experiential activities, we are proud to announce our first ever Shell Ducati Riders’ Day exclusively for all Ducatisti.

“This experience would help riders improve their riding skills under the guidance of certified instructors and enhance the joy of riding on road as well on track. With Dovizioso joining us, we are sure that this edition is going to be a unique and electrifying one.”

Dovizioso is joining riders and rivals like Jorge Lorenzo, Mick Doohan and Kevin Schwantz – who have previously visited the country – to visit the Indian sub-continent, which has a solid fanbase for MotoGP.
