The FIA World Motor Sport Council presented the new calendar of the FIA Karting World Championship, the new name of the former CIK-FIA World Championship, together with new rules for the next 2019 season.

Once officially presented the dates, times and places of each race, we see that, finally, Spain will not host any event during the next year, as happened in 2018. Circuito de Zuera was a possible venue to celebrate the first round of the European Championship in April, but finally it will not be like that and will be held in Angerville, France.

Several novelties regarding the 2018 calendar. Finland appears in the OK and Junior categories of the world championship, last year it was played in Sweden. While that of the KZ category will be played in Lonato, Italy, instead of in Genk, Belgium.

The novelty in the OK and Junior European Championship is the entry of Genk and Kristianstad (Sweden). The KZ2 Super Cup travels from Belgium to Lonato, Italy.
