In a quiet race Stefano Colletti has won at home, Monte Carlo, in the second race of the GP2, after a good start he has done where he placed himself second and a few laps later has overtaken Adrian Quaiffe-Hobbs, who finished second. Mitch Evans was third after making a smart move on the first lap overtaking Calado who was finally fifth. Nasr finished the race fourth.

At the start Adrian Quaiffe-Hobbs (Manor Motorsport) maintained his first position, followed by Stefano Colletti (Rapax) and James Calado (ART Grand Prix) who was about to lose that position with Mitch Evans (Arden International). In the end of the first lap, Felipe Nasr (Carlin) was also ahead of the English. Furthermore Rene Binder (Venezuela GP Lazarus) who started second, performed a bad start and was placed fifth. Daniel Abt (ART Grand Prix) was penalized for jumping the start.
In the leading, Quaiffe-Hobbs could not keep the pace with Colletti who advanced him in the harbor area. By lap 11, Kevin Ceccon (Trident Racing) overtook Sam Bird (Russian Time) at the same point,and obtaining the seventh position. Jolyon Palmer (Carlin), two laps later,overtook the Spanish Sergio Canamasas (EQ8 Caterham Racing) in “The Rascasse” in a verycomplicated situation.
Halfway through the race, yesterday’s winner, Sam Bird lost positions and stood in the pits, as his teammate at the beginning of the race.
With eight laps to go, Jon Lancaster (Hilmer Motorsport) punctured a tyre thanks to Jake Rosenzweig (Barwa Addax Team) and went back quickly.
Finally, Colletti won followed by Quaiffe-Hobbs, Evans, Nasr, Calado, Binder, Ceccon and Richelmi. Sam Bird was the man who set the fastest lap of the race.
