Last day of pre-season testing in Montmeló for the GP2 Series before the beginning of the 2013 season. After two days under the rain, the drivers finally had the chance to test the car in dry track, the sun shined today in the Circuit de Catalunya. In the morning the track was still wet, but after a few laps the track was quite dry.

Stefano Coletti (Rapax) set the fastest time once again in the morning session, with a 1:29.055. After him, Marcus Ericsson (DAMS), Stephane Richelmi (DAMS), Joylon Palmer (Carlin) and the Catalan Sergio Canamasas (Caterham). Nobody would improve his time in the afternoon, as Felipe Nasr was fastest with a 1:29.381, followed by Coletti, Tom Dilmann (RUSSIAN TIME), Fabio Leimer (Racing Engineering) and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs (MP Motorsport).

This last day has been free of incidents, with just a red flag caused by Trummer in the morning, and that’s why there’s been a lot of action on track today. The GP2 Series won’t race again until the Malaysian GP in two weeks time.
