The Indycar yesterday announced changes in the rules of the category for the 2015 season affects issues like double points, test days, rankings in urban and road courses, and more changes we told you then.

One of the most important aspects is the application of the double points. If the 2014 season we had a three-run double points (Indianapolis 500, Pocono and Fontana), the next 2015 will continue the traditional Indy 500 with double points with the last race of the championship to be held in Sonoma.

The days of workouts also change; now test for motorists, test for equipment, promotional test and wind tunnel test will be made. Teams will have 4 of the 14 days or promotional workouts. The workouts agreed to date are: March 16 to 17 at Barber Motorsports Park, March 27 in Saint Petersburg, April 10 at NOLA Motorsports Park, May 3 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval, May 7 at the permanent circuit Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and finally, on July 31 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Nor will there exits with cars stopped-for security reasons in place, a fact that was last seen in Race 2 of Toronto.
