Fernando Alonso ‘s eSports team FA Racing Logitech G has revealed its driver line-up for the 2019 season which includes Jamie Chadwick.

Alonso entered eSports world at the end of the 2017 F1 season in partnership with G2 and Logitech – although he parted ways with G2 in less than a year. On track side, he already has a kart team FA Racing which competes in several karting championship.

The racing team is expanding into single-seater championship in partnership with Drivex School as it readies to compete in the Formula Renault Eurocup series in 2019. Alongside that, Alonso has announced a re-branded eSports outfit for 2019 season.

The ‘FA Racing Logitech G’ has named a seven-driver line-up for the new season which includes track racer Chadwick, who recently won the 2018/19 MRF Challenge winter championship and is battling for a seat in the new W Series.

Among others, McLaren Shadow’s trio Xiang Gao, Ebrahim Almubarak and Kristian Kwietniewski feature as well, with Spain’s Diego Ruiloba, eSports WTCC champion Alexander Dornieden and Matt Malone completing the seven drivers – for now.

Like in 2018, the team is to compete in global eSports competitions like iRacing, Project Cars 2, Gran Turismo, rFactor 2 and DiRT 2.0, where they will use the Logitech G equipment and technologies.

“I”m excited to introduce a team of dedicated, talented drivers to represent my team for the 2019 season,” said Alonso. “I have hand selected some great young talent who are ready to continue bringing success to the team.

“Logitech G will continue to be our partner, providing us with all the necessary gaming equipment and technologies so we can be fully prepared for our second season of racing and beyond.”

Chadwick is growing step by step as a single-seater racer as the momentum towards female races grows day-by-day. She added: “Simracing has closed the gap on real formula racing when it comes to strategy, competition and skill.

“Joining the team with Alonso, and with my other great teammates, will allow me to leverage my behind-the-wheel experience and formula racing skill set to compete in one of the fastest growing, competitive esports categories. With the help of my team-mates, we are pushing to bring a championship to FA Racing.”
