Johanny Cecotto has taken his first victory in Formula V8 3.5 at Hungaroring. The Venezuelan take advantage of Dillmann mistake for an important win for himself. Dillmann and Deletraz completes the podium.

Tom Dillmann (AVF) started from pole position and after a great start, we all thought that he was going to take a lights to flag victory but a mistake allowed Cecotto (RP Motorsport) overtake him for the today’s Race 1 victory.

Third place was for Louis Delétraz (Fortec Motorsports) who finished as the best rookie of the day once again. The Swiss finished in front of Aurélien Panis (Arden Motorsport) and Matthieu Vaxivière (SMP Racing).

In sixth place finishes Roy Nissany (Lotus), as Beitske Visser (Teo Martin Motorsport) finally took an important points finishing in seventh. Behind her, Pietro Fittipaldi (Fortec Motorsports), Yu Kanamaru (Teo Martin Motorsport) and Vitor Baptista (RP Motorsport) completes the podiums positions.

Today we saw four abandons. First it was SMP Racing driver Matevos Isaakyan. Then Alfonso Celis (AVF) and Egor Orudzhev (Arden Motorsport) retired after a contact at chicane, where the Force India junior didn’t let enough room to the Russian. Giussepe Cipriani (Durango) retired due to a spin.

Thanks to today win, Cecotto is up to fourth with 35 points, as Vaxivière is fifth with 28. Egor Orudzhev after 3 races continues with 0 points.
