Second day of pre-season testing for the GP2 Series in the Circuit de Catalunya, once again with rain. It wasn’t until the session finished that the sun started shining in the catalan track.

In the morning, James Calado (ART) was fastest with a similar time to the one he set yesterday under the rain (1:50.218), ahead of Felipe Nasr (Carlin), Adrian Quaife-Hobbs (MP Motorsport), Rene Binder (Venezuela GP Lazarus) and Daniel Abt (ART).

Not many drivers were able to improve their times in the afternoon.  Johnny Cecotto (Arden) set the fastest time (1:52.781), half a second slower than his time in the morning. After him finished Nasr (Carlin), Kevin Giovessi (Venezuela GP Lazarus), Quaife-Hobbs (MP Motorsport) and Simon Trummer (Rapax).

Today’s session hasn’t been free of problems, as there were two red flags in the morning (Cecotto and Abt) and two more in the afternoon (Giovessi and Abt again).

Tomorrow will be the last day of testing for the teams and drivers before the 2013 season starts. Formula Ràpida will be in the circuit to keep you informed!
