The Mercedes AMG team recently announced that the hitherto crew chief Ross Brawn, will leave the German formation in late December. Thus technical executive director Paddy Lowe, along with the executive business director, Toto Wolff, will lead the team from next year.
Ross Brawn landed in Mercedes in 2010 after completely obliterate in 2009 with his own team, Brawn GP, who dominated the first part of the season, which earned him the drivers and constructors’ titles. From the following year brought the ‘Silver Arrows’ to where they are now, led by great drivers such as Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, where the last two years have scored three wins, nine podiums and eight pole position, which made them be runners-up of the Constructors’ championship.
Now with the new revolution of 2014, Brawn leaves the German formation to start a new stage in the sport. There is a talk of a possible return to Ferrari, to help Maranello to give him a competitive car to Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen for next year, but have also been mixed options that will end in Williams, McLaren or even somewhere in the FIA. We will have to wait in order to know the future of the British.

Mercedes- Benz has invested heavily in staff and facilities in Brackley and Brixworth. Through the team approach that we have implemented between the two facilities , the team is in a unique position to succeed in 2014 and am proud to have helped to build the foundation of that success. Nevertheless, 2014 will usher in a new era in the sport. Therefore we are sorry that this was the right time to start, simultaneously, a new era in the management team to ensure that the organization is in the strongest position possible for years to come. We can be proud not only of the achievements in track but also the organization we have built in Brackley. During the past six seasons, this team has had some of the most memorable moments of my career. Our second place in the constructors’ championship is an important milestone to success. I am sure the future holds more success for the team, and I will be proud to have put my two cents on these achievements.”
