The driver of Belardi Auto Racing has set the quickest time of 1:15.1498, only 0.05 seconds quicker than rookie Garth Rickards (Carlin) and his team mate from Canada Zachary Claman de Melo.
Outside the top three, Kyle Kaiser (Juncos Racing) finished fourth ahead of point’s leader, Colton Herta (Andretti Steinbrenner Racing) and the Carlin’s of Neil Alberico and Matheus Leist.
Frenchman Nico Jamin (Andretti Autosport) completes follows the Brazilian, while Mexican Pato O’Ward (Team Pelfrey) and Santi Urritia (Belardi Auto Racing) completes the top 10.
