Enea Bastianini joins Trackhouse for the 2027 MotoGP season after leaving Tech3

Enea Bastianini will make the leap to the Trackhouse Team for the 2027 MotoGP season, after announcing his departure from Tech3 KTM at the end of the year.

In a joint statement, Tech3 has confirmed that Bastianini will leave the team, while Trackhouse has revealed that the Italian has signed a two-year contract with the team.

The winner of seven races in the championship will take the spot left vacant by Ai Ogura, who will compete with the official Yamaha team alongside the 2024 champion, Jorge Martin, in the new era of 850cc motorcycles.

With this signing, Trackhouse completes its lineup for the 2027 season, having recently extended the contract of Raul Fernandez.

Bastianini has expressed excitement for this new challenge, stating: ‘I am extremely excited to join the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team for the next two MotoGP championships. Starting from the tests in Valencia this year, it will be a new challenge with a new bike, tires, and regulations.’

Additionally, he indicated that he is willing to bring his experience and competitive spirit to develop the new Aprilia RS-GP.

Bastianini began his career in the record class with Avintia Ducati in 2021 before earning his place in the official Ducati team thanks to his successes with Gresini. After some challenging seasons, he signed with Tech3 in 2025, where he has been the second-best rider for KTM.

The Trackhouse team, with Fernandez and Bastianini in its ranks, is positioned with two stars that have proven their worth in racing, preparing to face the new era of MotoGP.

Trackhouse team director Justin Marks has praised Bastianini’s experience and personality, stating that his addition is a big step towards the team’s success. ‘We are sure that we will do great things together in the coming years,’ he said.
