Ben Barnicoat will start from pole position in the final race of Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 at Jerez. The Fortec driver dominated a very accidental session. Title contenders, Delétraz is 3rd, Jörg 12th and Aitken will start from the back of the grid.

The session started under heavy rain conditions for Group B. Hubert (Tech 1 Racing) was in a solid lead at half point of the season, not like yesterday when he was last.
Dominant session for the Frenchman who finish in front of D’Agosto, Allen, Hughes and Olsen. Title contender Kevin Jörg finished in a poor 6th place.

In second group, the rain was heavier than group b, but the session started with a red flag caused by Darius Oskoui. The session was suspended for an hour.

When they back to the track the ART Junior of Max Defourny had electrical problems again, as Deletraz crash with Aitken and then the following drivers went off to causing another red flag. Aitken and Hasse-Clot had to retire from the session.

After track work at turn 7, they back again under a heavy rain conditions. Lap times improved a lot as Barnicoat took the lead with 3 minutes remaining. But another red flag caused by Defourny set the end of the session.

Yesterday we though that Aitken has it all to win the championship today but he need to comeback. Delétraz needs to win and wait for no points from Aitken. Jörg needs to finish third and wait to see Aitken out of top 10.
