Aprilia launched its 2020 MotoGP season with livery unveil of their new RS-GP ahead of the second pre-season test at Loasil International Circuit.

At the Losail International Circuit on Friday 21st February, Aleix Espargaro, Andrea Iannone and Bradley Smith took the covers off the 2020 Aprilia Racing Team Gresini RS-GPs, revealing a similar livery to that of last year.

The livery may be similar, but the RS-GP is anything but. A totally revamped RS-GP launches Aprilia towards the new MotoGP™ season, and the new technical base was born with the contribution of stellar new personnel who have enriched the team’s experience, rounding it out in every department.

After their impressive debut at the Sepang Test, the RS-GP now faces three crucial days of testing in Qatar before the season opener under the lights. Aleix Espargaro: “The bike is a whole different story! I am more motivated and more hopeful then ever.”

Andrea Iannone: “I really feel as though this is my bike. I know how much work everyone has put into it.” Bradley Smith: “We have a lot of knowledge, a lot of information, a lot of data. And it means we need to take advantage of every day.”

Massimo Rivola, Aprilia Racing CEO: “The inclusion of new people with the historical people of Noale was the best part of this project.” Romano Albesiano, Aprilia Racing Technical Director: “The bike is completely new. A new engine, and revised cycling and aerodynamics.”
