Fernando Alonso led a FP2 in Monaco characterized by changing conditions. Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel were second and third respectively.

Rain and wet asphalt did change things, only for a session. Fernando Alonso was able to overtake Lewis Hamilton in second practice session of the Monaco Grand Prix. The Spanish finished in first place, with the British in second position.
The track was completely wet at the beginning of the session due to rain and hail fell before training, but when the session started there was no sign of rain. Because of this, the drivers did not have to hurry when they started to roll as the track could be very delicate, especially in parts resurfaced.
The only driver who ventured out was Valtteri Bottas, on intermediate tyres. The Finn had numerous problems when it comes to keeping the car on track and went back to the pits without completing a lap.
Since forecasts for qualifying and the race were dry, drivers waited in the pits until the track was dry. When there were 50 minutes left Adrian Sutil pits on intermediate tyres. Kvyat also came, as the Russian needed roll in a track where he had never been before.
The on-track activity was gradually increasing. Kvyat was the first to set a time, followed by his teammate Jean -Eric Vergne. Important men, like the Ferrari drivers were incorporated into action.
Kvyat suffered a runway in Saint Devote, then Kimi Raikkonen rolled too slow, having a problem with the gearbox that would prevent his car back out in the session. Sebastian Vettel was placed first among the few drivers who had set at least one time at the time. Fernando Alonso climbed to second place and Jenson Button took the lead in the classification even with the intermediate tyres.
Several drivers gave their installation laps but not lap times. The track was virtually dry and the ability to mount dry tyres in the final minutes of training is shuffled.
Vergne came out with hards and Nico Hulkenberg with supersoft tyres, they were the first to come out with dry compounds. The other drivers also rode the wheels for such conditions.
The on-track activity was abundant in the last five minutes, with all drivers except Raikkonen rolling. Hulkenberg went first, just ahead of Kvyat. Alonso then put himself first, ahead of Perez and Vettel. Felipe Massa climbed to second place.
After a dance of positions with the supersoft tyres, Alonso finished first, followed by Hamilton and Vettel.
