In Mini category a new champion was proclaimed, the Jamaican driver Alex Powell who with his third place in the final had enough to take the championship. Joel Bergstrom got the victory after several penalties, while the Russian Krill Kustkov completed the podium in second position.

Under the rain in the Adria Karting Raceway the qualifying session gave rise to surprises with the Russian Alexander Tibekin (DR) getting the pole position with more than half a second compared to their rivals. Brando Badoer (Parolin Racing Kart) took second place, followed by Maksim Orlov (Parolin Poland).

Tubekin swept all qualifying races, securing the pole position for the Pre-Final A, while Maksim Orlov took the pole for the Pre-Final B. The qualifying tests also offered great comebacks, such as that of Rashid Al Dhaheri (Tony Kart Racing Team), who qualified seventeenth but got third place overall. It was also remarkable the performance of the Danish Julius Dinesen (AV Racing) who climbed from 63rd position to the eighth.

In the Pre-Final A, Al Dhaheri dominated the race with authority and Alexander Gubenko (Koski Motorsport) was second, although he received a penalty of 5 seconds. So, the top 3 was completed by Tibekin and the championship leader, Alex Powell (Energy Corse). Of this Pre-Final, also highlighted the comeback of 18 positions of Coskun Irfan (Baby Race Driver Academy), who on Saturday had suffered a rollover in his kart that almost left him out.

In Pre-Final B, Joel Bergstrom (Team Driver Racing Kart) won beating Badoer in a photo finish, after a spectacular comeback of ten positions.

Already in the Final, Rashid Al Dhaheri dominated the race and won the checkered flag. However, the United Arab Emirates driver received a 10-second penalty at the end of the race, as he missed the start.

To this penalty, added another one of 5 seconds that received Tibekin because of a pontoon disengaged from his kart, which allowed Bergstrom to get the victory followed by Kirill Kutskov (Baby Race Driver Academy) and Alex Powell, who with his third position had enough to proclaim champion of the WSK Final Cup 2018 in the Mini category.
