F1 TV has released the five episodes of the ‘F2: Chasing the Dream’ documentary which showcases the 2019 season from a different perspective.
F1 TV released a trailer for ‘F2: Chasing The Dream’ five-episode documentary in December with January 2 as the launch date. No further details were revealed then, especially with regards to the extent of the episodes and how they are going to showcase those.
With the release of the five episodes on Thursday, F1 shed light on the documentary which is a work of the sport’s own production team headed by Rory Child and Martin Turner. The documentary features all the 10 F2 teams and their drivers.
The episodes ranges from 20 to 30 minutes with different topics being picked up to showcase how the 2019 F2 season panned out. It also has a separate episode looking at the unfortunate demise of Anthoine Hubert at Spa-Francorchamps.

Episode 1: All eyes are on the start of the 2019 F2 season when a Schumacher joins the most competitive series in the world –
The first episode builds us towards the first race of the 2019 F2 season as teams and drivers get ready for the new year and summarises the races until Barcelona. It features UNI-Virtuosi Racing team, Ross Brawn, Jack Aitken, Nyck de Vries, Nicholas Latifi, Juan Manuel Correa and Luca Ghiotto, with more eyes were on de Vries.
Episode 2: Nyck de Vries begins his championship surge whilst rookie Anthoine Hubert stars when the drivers take to the streets of Monaco –
The second episode looks more into Renault junior Hubert and his maiden F2 victory in Monaco. It also has Latifi driving the Williams F1 car during Canadian GP weekend with inputs from Claire Williams as well. The episode features DAMS’ team, Sergio Sette Camara, Guanyu Zhou, Nobuharu Matsushita, Mick Schumacher and races until Austria.
Episode 3: The championship battle intensifies as ths season approaches the summer break –
The third episode is pretty straightforward with F2 races until Hungary is summarised which includes the first win for Schumacher, where Mattia Binotto features too. It showcases more about Ghiotto and Aitken, while Tatiana Calderon makes her first appearance too.
Episode 4: One of motorsports brightest stars, Anthoine Hubert, is remembered after tragically losing his life at Spa –
The fourth episode followed the tragic weekend at Spa-Francorchamps where Hubert lost his life. F2 communications head Alexa Quintin and commentator Alex Jacques feature in as well, while BWT Arden along with Calderon throw light on the Frenchman. It follows the likes of Chase Carey, Esteban Ocon and Lewis Hamilton with some unseen footage in it as Correa spoke about the incident too.
Episode 5: Dutchman Nyck de Vries looks to seal the championship with just two rounds remaining –
The final episode showcased de Vries winning the F2 title as it took through the end of the 2019 championship with Latifi and Ghiotto speaking about their Top 3 finish. The documentary ended with thoughts from Correa.
