Juan Manuel Correa has shared a video of him standing up for the first time since the surgery after the horrific F2 incident at Spa-Francorchamps.

Its been nearly two months since the F2 crash at Spa-Francorchamps, where Alfa Romeo Racing and Sauber Junior Team by Charouz racer Correa had the major incident, which put him on the hospital bed with multiple injuries to his lungs and leg.

After weeks of waiting for his lungs to stabilise, doctors performed surgery on his legs, focusing mostly on the right one. Correa opted for a surgery instead of amputation and now has nearly a year to go before making full recovery.

He is still in the hospital in the UK and is expected to fly back to Miami in November to begin the year long rehabilitation. Whether he can race again remains a question mark but he is grateful for the second life he has been given despite the horrific crash.

Late on Wednesday, Correa shared a video of him standing up for the first with the metal brace attached to his right leg. He can been in huge pain as he was assisted to stand up. Even though it was only for few seconds but it is a positive news for the youngster.
