RGMMC’s Champions Of The Future Academy Program UK Series is set to crown its inaugural champions at Whilton Mill from 21 to 23 August 2026, as the series reaches the end of a groundbreaking debut season in Britain.
The final round will take place at one of the UK’s most storied circuits — a 1200-metre layout featuring 13 uniquely challenging turns that has shaped the early careers of some of the sport’s biggest names. Lando Norris, George Russell and Audi F1 Drive Development Programme member Freddie Slater all developed their craft at Whilton Mill. Kimi Antonelli, Carlos Sainz and Daniel Ricciardo have also lapped the circuit to maintain their karting fitness.
An inaugural season built on variety
RGMMC designed the 2026 UK season around a concept never previously implemented in British karting: four events across four different regions, using Mini 60, OK Junior and OK machinery in an equal-equipment format. The series provided drivers with circuits completely different in driving style — from the brand new asphalt of Silverstone under the shadow of Maggots, Becketts and Copse, to the history of PFi and the thrill of Larkhall in Scotland.
Whilton Mill, situated in the heart of England in the Midlands, now provides the fourth and final challenge. The circuit is known to test drivers not only on outright pace, but on kart control across a lap that — in the words of the organisers — could mirror a small rollercoaster ride.
A platform for the next generation
For RGMMC, the UK venture represents a successful addition to the organisation’s growing international portfolio. Dan Parker, Head of Karting at Motorsport UK, praised the series and the partnership with RGMMC.

The Round 4 finale at Whilton Mill runs from 21–23 August 2026. Entries are open now via the official Champions Of The Future Academy Program website. The first-ever British champions in Mini 60, OK Junior and OK will be confirmed at the close of the event.
