The Formula E has moved its date for the Monaco E-Prix in 2027 forward by two weeks to avoid a conflict with the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
The races on the famous streets of Monte Carlo will take place on May 1 and 2, 2027, just one week before the double header scheduled in Berlin.
Initially, Formula E had announced that Monaco would host the tenth and eleventh rounds of the season on May 15 and 16, coinciding with the WEC event at Spa-Francorchamps. This clash would have created difficulties for drivers competing in both championships, as Spa is traditionally the preparation for the 24 hours of Le Mans.
The calendar modification allows the Monaco E-Prix to be held before Berlin, although both Formula E races will still be scheduled for consecutive weekends. This means that drivers participating in both competitions will face an intense sequence of three weekends of racing in Monaco, Berlin, and Spa.
In addition to the date changes, Formula E has announced the extension of its agreement with the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM), thus ensuring the continuity of the event in the principality at least until 2031. Monaco has quickly become one of the most significant events in Formula E, taking place on the same circuit as Formula 1.
