In the latest MotoGP race, the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, the factory team of Aprilia was unable to compete with their satellite team, Trackhouse. In an exciting sprint, both Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín struggled for various reasons, and the victory went to Raul Fernández.

Bezzecchi, the current championship leader, finished the race in fourth place, just two seconds behind the winner, while Martín held off an attack from Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia to finish fifth. These positions, although an improvement compared to the last races at Balaton Park and Brno, did not meet the expectations of the Noale team.

With Fernández and Ai Ogura finishing first and second with their Trackhouse RS-GPs, the factory team disappointed as neither Bezzecchi nor Martín could contend with the competition. Bezzecchi, who started from the front row, suffered a poor start on the first lap, quickly losing positions.

After recovering and passing Martín, he finally reacted but couldn’t keep pace with the riders fighting for the podium, finishing a second behind di Giannantonio. Bezzecchi acknowledged that he faced difficulties during the early laps. “I didn’t feel good at the start, I lost positions and, although I improved at the end, it was already too late to fight for the podium,” he stated.

On the other hand, Martín started well, achieving pole position, but his speed faded in the end. He lost out to Ogura early on and, after momentarily leading, was surpassed by Fernández. “At the beginning I felt good, but then I noticed I had no grip. This made me suffer throughout the race,” Martín pointed out, acknowledging that the adjustments made to his bike did not yield the expected results.

This result presents a new challenge for the factory team of Aprilia, which will continue to work to correct mistakes and improve in the coming races.
