In a recent episode of Inside the Race, experts Steve Letarte and Kyle Petty praised this decision. Letarte, a former winning crew chief of the Daytona 500, expressed his gratitude to Prime for their collaboration. “If it hadn’t been for this change, the race would have been impossible due to the rain that was expected immediately after the race,” he commented.
Petty agreed with Letarte, noting the positive impact it can have on fans. “Many spectators have spent hours in the stands waiting to see the second part of the competition.
