The MotoGP rider, Jorge Martin, has decided to temporarily suspend his sponsorship agreement with Red Bull. This decision comes just before the announcement of Monster Energy as the new main sponsor of the Aprilia team.
Aprilia is expected to officially announce its agreement with Monster on Thursday, thus confirming information that has been circulating. Although the exact details of the contract have not been revealed, it is expected to extend beyond the current season, at least until the end of 2028.
Negotiations between the two parties had been underway for some time, initially focused on the 2027 season. However, the good results obtained by Aprilia at the beginning of this year have accelerated the formalization of this agreement.
The collaboration between Aprilia and Monster will begin this weekend during the Italian Grand Prix, where the factory motorcycles will display the recognizable Monster logo. For this brand, one of the attractions of Aprilia is the figure of Marco Bezzecchi, a rider who has been linked to Monster for years.

However, Martin is the only one who will not benefit from the arrival of Monster. Currently, he is an athlete for Red Bull, which has sponsored him since his victory in the Rookies Cup in 2014.
