Fabio Quartararo has achieved a significant result in the recent French Grand Prix, held in Le Mans, marking a notable improvement in his season. After a complicated start, the Yamaha Factory Racing rider secured a sixth position, a great improvement compared to his previous best classification of the year, which had been a 14th place.

After a complex Saturday, where both Quartararo and the team acknowledged going “in the wrong direction”, the rider was able to see an improvement thanks to the adjustments made during the Jerez test. He continued using the 2025 aerodynamic package, which proved effective both Saturday and Sunday of the Grand Prix.

In his post-race statements, Quartararo expressed that the feeling on the bike was similar to what he experienced during the Jerez test, highlighting his consistency and the good lap times achieved. He explained that, although the bike wasn’t faster, the adjustment of the sensations allowed him better control and management of resources, such as tires and brakes.

One of the aspects he highlighted during the race was his braking technique, which he believes can make the difference in competitions. “We had to be very gentle when braking, but in the end, that’s where I can try to make the difference,” he commented, while acknowledging that the potential of his bike is still limited.

Despite the optimism shown about his better classification, Quartararo was cautious in his future expectations. He made it clear that he doesn’t want to make major changes to the bike’s setup until significant improvements are available. “I want to keep the setup as it is and make the most of it with riding adjustments,” he concluded.
