The MotoGP rider Pedro Acosta has praised the performance of his KTM RC16 in rainy conditions, coinciding with the arrival of the French Grand Prix in Le Mans. Acosta, who spoke in Spanish during a press conference, stated that “in the water, this bike is spectacular”.

With a weather forecast predicting wet conditions, including a possible repeat of last year’s rainy race, Acosta remains optimistic. However, he and his teammate, Brad Binder, trust that the KTM will also show competitiveness in dry conditions, thanks to the advancements made during the tests conducted in Jerez.

Binder expressed his excitement to start the weekend and said: “After the test in Jerez, we found aspects that have improved; it will be interesting to see if it works well here in Le Mans”. Despite having lost a victory opportunity in Jerez due to a fall in the rain, he ensured he is not afraid of weather conditions, indicating that “we can do a good job in any situation”.

Acosta, for his part, highlighted the improvements made by KTM: “Updates have been introduced that will help improve the bike’s maneuverability and stability. In Jerez, I suffered more than I expected, but it seems that in the test everything has returned to normal”.

So far, Acosta has achieved two podiums this season, while Binder has struggled to match his performance, with a best result of seventh place. The French Grand Prix promises to be another exciting chapter in MotoGP competition.
