Roger Penske has been appointed Grand Marshal of the 74th edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring, which will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026. With a career as a team owner and former driver, Penske will start this iconic competition of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

This year, Team Penske celebrates its 60th anniversary, beginning with a victory by the #7 of Porsche Penske Motorsport at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January. This victory marks the third consecutive win at Daytona, and the team will look to defend its title at Sebring, just 60 years after first claiming the championship at the same track.

Roger Penske, known as ‘Captain’, has achieved success across multiple categories, including IMSA, IndyCar, NASCAR, and F1, accumulating over 660 victories, 700 pole positions, and 48 championships, which include 20 wins at the Indianapolis 500.

His records at Sebring are valuable, having participated as a driver between 1961 and 1964. In his first competition, he achieved a class victory and a fifth place overall. Penske has expressed his honor in being named Grand Marshal in such a special year for his team.

Matt Muha, president of the Sebring International Raceway, has highlighted the importance of having such a significant figure in motorsport as Roger Penske in this role for this year’s race.
