On a memorable night at the Daytona International Speedway, Eli Tomac achieved his eighth victory in the 450cc category, further solidifying his legend in the world of Supercross. However, the celebration was marked by an unexpected incident that caused the motorcycle star to lose part of one of his front teeth.

After his spectacular victory, Tomac raised the trophy with so much energy that it detached from its base, causing the weight of it to hit him in the face. At that moment, the rider not only broke the trophy but also lost the lower part of one of his teeth.

Tomac humorously commented on the incident: “I enjoyed achieving the eighth victory, but I didn’t expect it to leave me with such a visible damage. Right now, I look like a good ‘hillbilly’, so I’ll try not to smile too much.” This victory not only made him stand out in the competition but also placed him ahead of legendary figures like Richard Petty, who has seven victories in the Daytona 500.

With a total of 57 wins in the 450s category and 32 in motocross, Tomac’s career is impressive. He has achieved four motocross titles and two supercross titles between 2017 and 2022, in addition to a FIM World Supercross title in 2024. His dominance on the tracks is undeniable and his riding style, adapted to the conditions he experienced as a child, such as the sand, particularly characterizes him.
