Mansell is the first driver confirmed in Rodin Motorsport’s line up and will make a welcome return to the team, stepping behind the wheel for official post-season testing at the Yas Marina Circuit next month.
Nineteen-year-old Mansell has already been enjoying a solid debut in Formula 2, stepping in for the final three rounds of the season. Making an impression with an immediate reverse grid pole position and further points around the challenging streets of Baku, the Australian racer is perfectly placed to hit the ground running for the upcoming season.
Mansell has previously raced with Rodin Motorsport, having competed in the British F4 Championship in 2020. During that campaign, in which he made his European racing debut, he impressed with a race win and five podiums, finishing seventh in the championship. Mansell remained with the team for the following season, stepping up to the GB3 Championship and Euroformula Open, where he built on his success to enjoy a strong rookie season. A race winner in the GB3 Championship, he ended the season third overall.
From there, Mansell has enjoyed success in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, particularly during his sophomore 2023 season, which included five podiums, notably in Monaco and during the final race of the season in Monza. Since then, the young Australian has turned his hand to Formula 2,stepping up for the final three rounds of the season. Mansell will put all of this experience to fantastic use when he joins Rodin Motorsport for post-season testing in Abu Dhabi ahead of his first full season in the highly competitive Formula 2 championship.
Mansell said of joining the team, “I am thrilled to be returning to Rodin Motorsport for the 2025 season. The team has always been supportive, and I am excited to build on our past successes together. I look forward to the challenges ahead and am ready to give my best on the track.”
Benn Huntingford, Formula 2 Team Manager, added, “We are pleased to welcome Christian back to the team here at Rodin Motorsport. We’ve been impressed watching his step up to the Formula 2 championship and know how great he is to work with from our previous seasons together.
