Williams Racing shares behind the scenes on working long nights to get the cars ready for the last triple-header of 2024, while F1 rubbishes reports on Stefano Domenicali.

Ever since the multiple crashes in F1 Brazil GP weekend, Williams have been downbeat about their end-of-the-season situation with regards to the spares available. The triple crash along with some of the incidents from before has certainly taken a toll on the F1 outfit.

This was acknowledged by team boss James Vowles, but it didn’t deter his spirits. In a rare behind the scene footage, Williams has thrown light on the work they undertook last week at Grove to prepare not just for next weekend’s Las Vegas GP, but also the races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

The nearly nine minutes long video captures the mechanics at Grove receiving boxes of broken parts from Brazil, where they had to segregate the parts they could use and the parts which they can’t. A big work went in repairing the chassis of Alexander Albon and Franco Colapinto.

A lot of the work is already done and they are more or less ready for Las Vegas and the races beyond to end the year. There were rumours about them missing out, but Williams rubbished them and with this video, they have confirmed about their presence.

Of course there will be a financial hit on the budget cap. The hope will be that they get through the last triple-header without any major dramas, as they gear up for Carlos Sainz to test their car in Abu Dhabi after the end of the season.

In other news, F1 has rubbished social media reports which stemmed from certain media publications, noting that Domenicali will be moved out from F1 to be the CEO at MotoGP after Liberty Media completes the takeover of the two-wheel competition.

Although there is no statement per se but they have put down the reports. Domenicali has been the F1 head since 2021 after taking over from Chase Carey. The rumours got traction after Liberty Media announced the departure of Gregg Maffei from the American company’s CEO role to give way to John Malone from 2025 onward.
