Pol Espargaro is confident of his MotoGP return post summer break in British GP as he cannot wait to ride the GASGAS Tech3 machine.
Pol Espargaro (GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3) is counting down the hours until his return to MotoGP World Championship action. After many weeks away from the track, the ’44’ is eager to bring his talents to the fore after recovering from the serious after-effects of a heavy crash at Portimao during the opening round of the 2023 campaign in Portugal.
With an exciting message shared on social media, the youngest of the Espargaro brothers showed his confidence about his participation in the upcoming Monster Energy British Grand Prix, which will be held at Silverstone from 4th-6th August, when the the premier class resumes after the five-week summer break.
Pol said he was “really looking forward to racing” with his team. “I’m going to need some time to get back up to speed, but I’m going to give it my all,” he said, before thanking his team and sponsors: “Thank you very much for your patience and affection, I’ll give it back with effort and results.
The ’44’ also wanted to extend his thanks to the medical figures who have been crucial in his recovery process, as well as to the fans: “Also to all the Doctors and physios who have passed through my life in the last 4 months and of course to you, who have encouraged and supported me during this hard process!”
The Spanish rider also had a heartfelt message of affection for his partner, Carlota Bertran, whose unwavering support throughout all these months aided his recovery. Dinally, there was also a very clear message for teammates, rivals and fans: “Let the show begin”. Waiting to be passed ‘fit’ at Silverstone, we can’t wait to see ‘Polyccio’ back in action!
